Reiser leads 3A Select in IGCA/Gatorade All-Star Series

Samantha Reiser paced the 3A Select Squad in a 73-67 loss to Class 4A last Saturday, April 2 at the Iowa Girls Coaches Association/Gatorade All-Star Basketball Series at Hennessy Rec Center at Mount Mercy College.

Reiser, a senior at Waukon Senior High, went eight-for-17 from the field and was two-for-two at the free throw line to finish with a team-high 18 points. She also led 3A Select on the defensive end with three steals.

Decorah senior and Northeast Iowa Conference foe Sharese Van Sloten also competed for 3A Select, finishing with five points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Reiser is the daughter of Mark and Nancy Reiser of rural Lansing. She is the only girls five-on-five player to score 1,000 points during her career at WHS. She holds career records with 1,559 points, 365 steals, and 206 assists.
