The Allamakee County Board of Supervisors met in a very short meeting Monday, March 28, taking care of a few formalities on the agenda. The Board considered and approved using Administrative Solution, Inc. and Cafeteria Plan. In E911 personnel matters, the board approved the resignation of part-time employee Wendy Bucheit. In a letter to the board, Bucheit cited an increased demand from her full-time employment that would no longer allow her to take on both positions.
In other matters not on the agenda, Allamakee County Engineer Brian Ridenour was present to have board chair pro-tem Lennie Burke and supervisor Bill Clarke sign contracts for land the county purchased from several land owners on Linton Drive in order to put in a bridge.
Ridenour also addressed a request received by supervisor Clark for a light to be put in at the intersection of Highway 51 and Frankville Road. Ridenour stated that the county would have to pay 100% of the cost for installment and the electricity for the lighting. He also stated that he would like to find out more about the reasoning for the request.
