Home ›Ferryville, WI to host first “Scaryville in Ferryville”
This Halloween, Saturday, October 31, from 4-7 p.m., the Ferryville Tourism Council is planning its first-ever “Scaryville in Ferryville” event. The riverside village will have trick-or-treating, trunk-or-treating, spooky music, kids’ games and activities, costume contests for adults and kids, hot dogs and snacks, and lots of spooky decorations to add to the evening.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. on the north end of the village near the old - and possibly haunted - school house, and end at 7 p.m. Guides will be there to direct attendees to various spots for fun and excitement.
A food tent will be set up in the small parking lot between the Wooden Nickel and the Swing Inn. Hot dogs, buns, chips, and cookies will be available for a freewill donation. A book fairy will also be handing out books for all ages including adults.
Volunteer help is also being sought to dress up and hand out candy, be part of the Haunted Walk, or run games and activities for kids the night of the event. Anyone can also contribute by lending out their decorations or costumes for the event or baking a sweet treat to donate to the refreshment table. Those wishing to help out may contact welcometoscaryville@gmail.com.
Anyone interested can come and bring their treats for trunk-or-treating, bring their kids dressed in their Halloween finest, and enjoy the festivities of the first-ever “Scaryville in Ferryville”.
