A family reunion of the descendents of Gerald and Estella Livingood Moose will be held Saturday, August 22 at the Kevin Welch property near Spook Cave, McGregor beginning at 3 p.m. A potluck supper will be held at 5 p.m. Those planning to attend are asked to bring a dish to pass, a drink of their choice, their own table service and lawn chairs. Plans are underway for the 50-year reunion of the Waukon High School Class of 1959. The reunion will be held the weekend of September 11-13, beginning with a Mississippi River boat cruise with Jack Libbey as the pilot and Jim Womeldorf as the musical entertainment Friday afternoon. Golfing will also be available all weekend by reservation only.

The descendents of George and Bess (Wall) Hammell gathered for a reunion Sunday, August 2 at the New Albin Community Center. Many other relatives and friends joined the group. All enjoyed a delicious potluck meal as well as much visiting. Those present came from Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Texas, Colorado and California.

Mike and Melissa Bechtel of Onalaska are happy to announce the birth of their daughter, Madeline Dee. Born Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wis., she was 9 pounds, 7.5 ounces, and 21 inches at birth.

Madeline joins two sisters, Alexandra, age 6, and Abigail, age 3.

Grandparents are Randy and Diane Sweeney and Dean and Sherry Bechtel. Great-grandmothers are Mildred Doubek, Neva Bechtel, and Virginia Halverson.
