Pablo and Vanessa Lopez Magdaleno of New Albin announce the birth of their son, Brandon Palacios Lopez, born July 29, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 11 ozs. and measured 19-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Pablo Dario (4) and Maria Jose (14).

Grandparents are Pablo Palacios Lopez, Ana Maria Santos Orozco, and Gregoria and Miguel.

The 64th Annual Bulman Reunion was held July 21, 2024 at the Eitzen Community Center with approximately 25 attending.

After a delicious meal, the meeting was called to order by chairman Bruce Bulman. David Bulman, along with Deb and Brad Harguth, were thanked for setting up the center for the reunion and making sure lunch went smoothly.

Discussion was held on continuing the reunion. Bob Bulman and Ned Bulman sent their regrets. They intended to attend, but had conflicts. The Bart Bulman descendants were in short supply because of a home-gathering for Lotus the week before. It was voted to continue the reunion at the Eitzen Community Center. Next year’s reunion will be held July 20, 2025.

Stuart and Jessica Jones of Waterville announce the birth of their son, Hayden Russell Jones, born July 24, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 5 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Paul and Lynn Jones of Harpers Ferry, Jeff Kruse of Monona and Julie Kruse of Monona. Great-grandparents are LeRoy and Bonnie Jones of Harpers Ferry and Nile Kruse of Monona.

Austin and Keisha Coon of Guttenberg announce the birth of their daughter, Lily Kay Coon, born July 23, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings Shea (8), Irie (5) and Lexi (3).

Grandparents are Luther and Cindy Schutte of Luana, and Larry and Susan Coon of Oxford Junction. Great-grandparents are Inez Moon of Monona and Kathryn Hickey of Oxford Junction.

Steven and Chelsey Pfiffner of La Crescent, MN announce the birth of their son, Ridge Christopher Pfiffner, born July 25, 2024 at Mayo Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. He weighed 9 lbs. 11-1/2 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Hayes (5) and Nori (2).

Grandparents are Jim and Jan Pfiffner of rural Harpers Ferry, and Todd and the late Lori Meyer of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Gene and Carolyn Maurer of rural Waterville.

Kerry and Tammy Troendle of Waukon and Dan and Nancy Mickelson of Webster City announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children, Shayla Troendle and Brad Mickelson, both currently of Duncombe. The couple will exchange vows Saturday, August 3, 2024 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon. The public is invited to a dance that evening beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Waukon.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Waukon High School and Iowa State University, where she majored in Agricultural Business and Business Management with a minor in Accounting. She is employed as a Financial Officer at Farm Credit Services of America.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Webster City High School and Iowa Central Community College, where he majored in Agriculture. He is a fifth generation farmer.
 

Devin and Heidi Ryan of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Reese Kay Ryan, born July 19, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 6 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of her birth.

Grandparents are Dave and Brenda Dougherty and Danny and Linda Ryan, all of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Joan and the late Richard Moody, Janice and the late Ralph Dougherty, Kate and the late Tony Urell, and Mike and Deede Ryan, all of Waukon.

Jason and Jenna Collins of rural Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Jean Collins, born July 21, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 3 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins sisters, Lilly (3) and Cora (1-1/2).

Grandparents are John and Von Collins of Waukon and Darryl and the late Jill (Schwartzhoff) Sharon of Eitzen, MN.

Josie Springman and Wes Collum of Cedar Rapids announce the birth of their son, Royal Wayne Collum, born July 18, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 6 lbs. 9 ozs. and measured 19-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a brother, Kaystyn Springman (5).

Grandparents are Debbie Honn of Waukon, Barry and Jerri Springman of Cedar Rapids, George and Suzanne Billmeyer of Covington and Dan Collum. Great-grandparents are Roger and Shari Honn of Cedar Rapids and Scott William.
