Micah and Serene Porter of Coggon announce the birth of their son, Sean Edward Porter, born October 12, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 10 lbs. 7 ozs. and measured 23 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Randy Porter of Coggon and Troy and Christina Edwards of Independence. Great-grandparents are Jim Hunt of Burkeburnett, TX and Rus and Penny Porter of Alburnett.

Chris Simmons and Emily Iseli of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Neil Robert Simmons, born October 14, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Karsyn Simmons (11), KaydahLynn Simmons (10) and Karvyr Simmons (7).

Grandparents are John and Shelly Lydon of Waukon, Scott and Valorie Simmons of Staunton, VA and Laura and Gary Iseli of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Neil and Sandy Bresnahan of Waukon, Thelma and Lee Simmons of Bethesda, MD, Robert Iseli of Waukon, and Roger and Sheri  Peterson of Waukon.
 

Lyle and Cindy (Flage) Leikvold of Waukon will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple married October 12, 1974 at First Presbyterian Church in Waukon.

Their children are Kerri (Chris) Gibbs of Waterville and Todd (Brianne) Leikvold of Dorchester. They have seven grandchildren including Kaylee, Kiersten and Kendra Gibbs, and Gannon, Kellen, Piper and Irelynn Leikvold.

The couple is planning to celebrate the occasion with a family trip to Florida in January.

Jim and Alyce (Gordon) May of Grundy Center, formerly of Waukon, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary October 4. They are the parents of three sons and eight grandchildren with their family including Jonathan and Nicki May of Ankeny and their sons Michael and Lukas; Joe and Jill May of Grundy Center and their sons Jake and Casey; and James May of Fairbank and his daughter Jaylin and sons James Jr. and Justice.

Members of the Waukon Senior High Class of 1965 will celebrate their 60-year reunion Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Empty Nest Winery, located at 1352 Apple Road in rural Waukon. The event will begin with a gathering at 10:30 a.m. with brunch at 11 a.m.

Devin and Paige Brennan of Lansing announce the birth of their daughter, Wyatt Kathryn Brennan, born September 17, 2024 in La Crosse, WI. She weighed 6 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 19-1/4 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Rowan (4) and Callan (2).

Grandparents are Jill and Mike Mitchell of Port Aransas, TX and Karen and Marty Brennan of Lansing.

Jim and Renea Johanningmeier of rural Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Paisley Grace Johanningmeier, born September 22, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs. 5 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Kaia (24), James (19), Charles (18), Mary (16), Ashton (14), Edward (13), Samuel (11), Thomas (8), Claudia (5), Grace (4) and Christian (2).

Grandparents are Gary and Linda Johanningmeier of Waukon and Mary Ann Andregg of Lansing.

Brian and Amanda Streeper of Waterville announce the birth of their daughter, Greer Ardyn Streeper, born September 26, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 10 lbs. 3 ozs. and measured 20-1/4 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, August (13), Ivy (11), Sutton (9), Jafe (7) and Cal (2).

Grandparents are Nick and LuAnn Rolling of Waterville and Doug and Nancy Streeper of Solon. Great-grandparents are Kenneth and Marilyn Streeper of Anamosa and Alice Rolling of Moorland.

Calvin and Emma Hochstetler of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, LuElla C. Hochstetler, born September 26, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 4 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, LeAnna (9), Lewis (7), Jacob (5), Joseph (5) and Rebekah (3).
