Kee baseball team wins one of just three games this week

The Kee baseball team was able to play one game early on in the week, but also experienced a few rain postponements, having to cancel and also reschedule some games for later on in the season. Monday, June 16, the Hawks went to Postville to play the Pirates, winning the first game by a 6-4 result but having to cancel the second game due to rain. Tuesday, June 17, Kee was scheduled to play against Clayton Ridge/Central, but the rain stopped the game, and there will be no make-up game. Waukon baseball team adds one more game to the win column in four tries

Waukon baseball junior catcher Landon Sivesind looks to apply the tag to this sliding Charles City baserunner in the Indians’ 9-0 first-game loss of a doubleheader split with the Comets at home Tuesday, June 10. Sivesind took a throw from center fielder and fellow junior Jake Ronan in time to put the tag on the orbiting Comet in the fourth inning, denying what would have been the 10th Charles City run of the ballgame and a possible mercy-rule ending to the contest an inning later.
