Scott Onsager and Brittany Byrnes of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Leirah Kay Onsager, October 14, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs., 14 ozs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins two siblings, Jordan (7) and Chezlee (3).
Grandparents are Joann Waterworth and Steve Onsager of Waukon and Martha and Jeff Byrnes of New Albin. Great-grandparents are Dennis and Judy Byrnes of Waukon, Betty Wenthold of Cresco and Bill Waterworth of Waukon.

Douglas and Michelle Crary of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Charlee Maree Crary, October 11, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs., 4.6 ozs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins two siblings, Peyton (3-1/2) and Jaxon (2).
Grandparents are Dayton and Joan Fish and Barbara Crary, all of Waukon. Great-grandparents are John and Mesa Bunting of Marion.

Adam and Andrea Shatek of Northbrooke, IL announce the birth of their daughter, Carissa Louise Shatek, October 11, 2014. She weighed 7 lbs., 3 ozs. at the time of her birth. She joins a brother, Samuel (1-1/2).
Grandparents are Samuel and Lucille Razzano of New Jersey and Larry and Joyce Shatek of Stewartville, MN. Great-grandparents are Clarence Shatek of Elma and Yvonne Brandt of Waukon.

Alan and Lori Heitman of New Albin are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Paul Heitman, to Lisa Kukkonen, daughter of Mark and Holly Kukkonen of Iowa City. The couple plans to exchange marriage vows  October 25 in Iowa City.
Paul graduated from Waukon High School in 2004 and from the University of Northern Iowa in 2008, majoring in Criminology. He is currently employed as a law enforcement officer by the City of Marshalltown.
Lisa graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs in 2005 and from the University of Iowa in 2009, majoring in Psychology and Spanish. She is currently employed as a youth counselor at Four Oaks in Marshalltown.

Jean Snitker of Postville will celebrate her 90th birthday October 30. She has seven children, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Cards and well wishes may be sent to 330 Hawkweed Dr., Postville, IA 52162.

Ryan and Renee French of River Falls, WI announce the birth of their son, Camden David French, September 29, 2014. He weighed 9 lbs., 1 oz. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins three brothers, Colton, Breckin and Gradyn.

James and Hannah Cota of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Amara La Lee Cota, October 2, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs., 2 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins two siblings, Aubree (13) and Azlynn (8).
Grandparents are Donald and Linda Sawvell and Rich and La June Cota. Great-grandparents are Joann Hertrampf and Earl Duane Sawvell.

Rob and Nita Grangaard of Waterville and Pat and Sally O’Neill of Harpers Ferry announce the upcoming marriage of their children, Carly Grangaard and Brandon O’Neill. The couple plans to exchange vows October 18 at St. Ann’s St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Harpers Ferry. A reception and dance will be held following the ceremony at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Waukon.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Northeast Iowa Community College and is currently employed as a Registered Nurse at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah. The groom-elect is a graduate of Minnesota West Technical College and is currently employed at Tumbleweed Welding.

Chanda Halvorson and Christopher Simmons of McGregor announce the birth of their daughter, Kaydahlynn Mikayla Simmons, September 24, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 5 lbs., 8 ozs. and measured 18-1/4 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a brother, Karsyn (15 mos.).
