The Waukon High School Class of 1961 will meet November 16 at 11:30 a.m. at Gus & Tony’s for lunch. All classmates are invited.

Robyn and Jeremy Hirth of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Huxley Everett Hirth, born October 14, 2018 at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah. He weighed 5 lbs. 13 ozs. and measured  18 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Dean Eickelberg and the late Diana Eickelberg and Wayne and Diane Hirth, all of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Norma (Behrens) Prange of Bentonville, AR and the late Jack Prange, the late Glenn and Madge Eickelberg of Waterloo, Doris Eglseder and the late Bob Eglseder of Waukon, and Gary and Lollie Hirth of Waukon.
 

Chanda Halvorson and Cody Runice of Fayette announce the birth of their daughter, Amiiyah Jo Runice, born October 27, 2018 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 10 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Mercadees (10), Addysen (9), Karsyn (5), Kaydahlynn (4) and Karvyr (20 months).

Treven Davidson and Bailey Rissman of Dorchester announce the birth of their son, Gatton Paul Davidson, born October 29, 2018 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 11 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Heather and Jeremy Rissman and Paul and Kathy Howes, all of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Reggie Rissman and Lori Thies of Luana, Karen and Terry Mulholland of Waukon and Jane Rissman of Waukon.

An open house birthday celebration in honor of Rita Severson’s 90th birthday is scheduled for Saturday, November 3 from 1-4 p.m. at the Farmers and Merchants Savings Bank community room, 201 West Main in Waukon. Everyone is invited to attend. No gifts are requested.

Jake and Emily McCormick of Waterville announce the birth of their daughter, Zoey Joan McCormick, born October 15, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, WI. She weighed 4 lbs. 8 ozs. and measured 17-1/4 inches in length at the time of her birth.

Grandparents are Kent and Joan McCormick of Waterville and Rick and Laurie Blietz of McGregor.

Ryan and Samantha Collins of Harpers Ferry announce the birth of their son, Leo Markus Collins, born October 11, 2018 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. 7 ozs. and measured 23 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Dalen (3) and Rayna (1-1/2).

Grandparents are Mark and Nancy Reiser of Lansing and Mike and Teri Collins of Harpers Ferry. Great-grandparents are Dale and Elaine Reiser of Dorchester.

Isaac and Christa Jacobson of Postville announce the birth of their son, Wyatt Kenneth Jacobson, born October 13, 2018 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9 lbs. 10 ozs. and measured 22-3/4 inches in length at the time of his birth.

Grandparents are Guy and Sheryl Miner of Castalia and Mike and Jodi Jacobson of Clermont. Barbara Ungerer of Hawkeye is a great-grandparent.

John and Lorna (Severson) Kerndt of Waukon were married October 19, 1953. They plan to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a mass and a private family dinner.

The Kerndts have five children: John (Karen) Kerndt of Decorah, Tom (Beth) Kerndt of Waukon, Craig Kerndt of Waukon, Kari (Gary) Hammel of Waukon and Kristi (Robert) Campbell of Waukon. They have seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
