Kee boys track team places seventh at West Central, fifth at MFL/MarMac

The Kee boys track team picked up some event victories in competing in a pair of meets this past week. Those wins helped the Hawks finish seventh out of eight teams at the West Central Invitational Monday, April 13 before placing fifth out of six teams at the MFL/MarMac Invitational Thursday, April 16.
The Hawks were scheduled to host their own home invitational Tuesday, April 21 before competing in the North Fayette Valley Invitational Thursday, April 23. Kee will then take part in the Clayton Ridge Invitational Tuesday, April 28 before traveling to the Starmont Invitational Friday, May 1.

Waukon girls golf team falls in pair of home meets to W-SR, MFL/MarMac

The Waukon girls golf team competed in back-to-back home course matches during the past week, falling in both of those hosting efforts. The lady linksters surrendered a Monday, April 13 match to Waverly-Shell Rock, 225-221, and then fell to MFL/MarMac Tuesday, April 14 by a 226-209 final result.
The Lady Indians were scheduled to challenge Decorah at the Waukon Golf and Country Club Monday, April 20 and then travel to Caledonia, MN Tuesday, April 21, but that Monday event was postponed to Friday, April 24 due to weather. Waukon is then slated to host three more matches the following week, including back-to-back nights to begin the week, Monday, April 27 against Crestwood and Tuesday, April 28 against North Fayette Valley, before welcoming New Hampton to town Friday, May 1.

Waukon boys golf team takes on W-SR on each side of win over MFL/MM

The Waukon Indians boys golf team began and ended the past week of competition at Waverly, beginning with a 206-176 loss to the host Go-Hawks Monday, April 13. The team returned home Tuesday, April 14 to record a 176-201 victory over MFL/MarMac before traveling back to Waverly for the Waverly Invitational Saturday, April 18, where the team finished 12th in a 12-team field.
The Indians were scheduled to travel to Decorah Monday, April 20 before returning home Tuesday, April 21 to face Caledonia, MN, but that Decorah date was rescheduled to this Friday, April 24 and has turned into a triangular with the host Vikings and Charles City to also take care of an April 7 rescheduled date with the Comets. The golf Tribe will then play at Crestwood Monday, April 27 and at North Fayette Valley Tuesday, April 28 before hosting New Hampton Friday, May 1.

Waukon girls track team finishes sixth at Decorah Invitational

The Waukon girls track team competed in just its second meet of the season, taking part in the Decorah Invitational Friday, April 10. The Indians tallied one each of first- and second-place event finishes, as well as two third-place efforts in compiling 43 team points to finish sixth out of eight teams at the meet. The Lady Indians also had an April 7 meet at Charles City canceled and were next scheduled to host their own home invitational Tuesday, April 14 before competing at New Hampton Thursday, April 16 and at Crestwood Tuesday, April 21.

Waukon boys track team finishes fifth at Decorah, places fourth at Postville’s Foster Kiesau Relays

The Waukon boys track team both began and ended the past week with nearby competition, having the second of this past week’s two meets postponed due to weather. The Indian tracksters placed fifth at the Decorah Early Bird Invitational Monday, April 6 before finishing fourth at the Foster Kiesau Relays hosted by Postvlle Friday, April 10, a meet delayed a day by rainy weather.
The Indians were scheduled to compete again at Decorah Monday, April 13 before taking part in the New Hampton Invitational Thursday, April 16. Waukon will then return to Decorah for a third consecutive Monday, April 20, before being scheduled to compete at the North Fayette Valley Invitational Thursday, April 23.

Kee girls track team finishes fifth at Postville Invitational

In what turned out to be its only competition of the week, the Kee girls track team ended up participating in just one meet this past week. The Lady Pirate Relays hosted by Postville High School Friday, April 10 ended up on that date after being postponed from its Tuesday, April 7 original date. The Lady Hawks used a pair each of second-and third-place finishes to headline their fifth-place team finish in the six-team field with 48 team points.
The Hawks also had the Thursday, April 9 Starmont Invitational canceled from their schedule this past week due to weather. Kee was scheduled to participate in the West Central Invitational Monday, April 13 at Oelwein High School before competing in the MFL/MarMac Invitational Thursday, April 16. The Hawks are then slated to host their own home invitational Tuesday, April 21before competing in the North Fayette Valley Invitational April 23.

Kee boys track team finishes eighth at Foster Kiesau Relays

The Kee boys track team competed in just one meet this past week due to rainy spring weather, that meet also being delayed a day for that same reason. The Hawks took part in the Foster Kiesau Relays hosted by Postville High School Friday, April 10, scoring points in six individual events to tally 24 team points and finish eighth in the nine-team final standings.
The Hawks were also scheduled to compete at the Edgewood-Colesburg Invitational Tuesday, April 7 but had that meet canceled due to rainy weather conditions. Kee was scheduled to participate in the West Central Invitational Monday, April 13 hosted by Oelwein High School before competing in the MFL/MarMac Invitational Thursday, April 16. The Hawks are then slated to host their own home invitational Tuesday, April 21 before competing in the North Fayette Valley Invitational Thursday, April 23.

The Waukon boys golf team began its 2015 season with a  196-162 loss to South Winneshiek at the Waukon Golf and Country Club Monday, April 6. The Indians were also scheduled for a home course match-up with Charles City Tuesday, April 7, but that match was postponed to April 24 due to weather.
The Indians were slated to play back-to-back nights to open this week, Monday, April 13 at Waverly-Shell Rock and Tuesday, April 14 at home against MFL/MarMac before returning to Waverly this Saturday, April 18 for a tournament. The golf Tribe will then play another back-to-back pair to begin the following week, at Decorah Monday, April 20 before hosting Caledonia, MN Tuesday, April 21.

Waukon girls defeat two of three opponents to open 2015 season

The Waukon girls golf team got its 2015 season underway in fairly good fashion, defeating two of three opponents faced during the initial week of competition this past week. The Lady Indians opened the season by edging out South Winneshiek at home, 239-245, Monday, April 6 before having a Tuesday, April 7 dual at Charles City postponed to Friday, April 10 and result in a triangular event. The Indians finished in the middle of that rescheduled threesome, tallying 228 strokes to finish behind New Hampton’s winning total of 195 strokes but just ahead of the 231 team score posted by the host school, Charles City.
The Indians were slated to host back-to-back nights of competition to start this week, inviting Waverly-Shell Rock to town Monday, April 13 and Decorah Tuesday, April 14. The lady linksters will then host Decorah Monday, April 20 before playing at Caledonia, MN Tuesday, April 21.

Waukon girls track team gets 2015 season underway at Frostbite Invitational

The Waukon girls track team finally got its first competition of the 2015 season underway, competing in the Frostbite Invitational Tuesday, March 31 at Sumner-Fredericksburg High School. The Indians dominated the relay events at the meet, winning five of those seven events in their total of six event victories on the night on the way to 143 team points for a second-place finish in the final five-team standings. The Tribe rounded out its relay dominance with one third-place finish and one runner-up effort in its total of three second-place event finishes at the meet.
The Lady Indians were scheduled to compete at the Charles City Invitational Tuesday, April 7 before traveling to Decorah for an invitational Friday, April 10. The Tribe will then host its own Early Bird Invitational Tuesday, April 14, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
