Doug and Harriet Sharp to celebrate 50th anniversary

Doug and Harriet (Mast) Sharp were married June 12, 1964 at the EUB Church in Cedar Falls. They plan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at the Kerndt Brothers Savings Bank Community Center in Lansing Sunday, June 1 from 2-4 p.m. A special family event will be hosted by their children later.
Harriet retired from teaching in the Cedar Falls Community Schools, then served as a substitute teacher for 13 years in Waukon and Lansing.

Deborah and Arnold Guyer to celebrate 40th wedding anniversary

Arnold and Deborah (Butikofer) Guyer will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary Sunday, May 25 at the Heritage Farm Park in Clermont. Their children would like to invite family and friends to attend a dance in the couple’s honor from 2 to 4 p.m. featuring the Russ Guyer Band. The couple request no gifts.

Marti family reunion to be held June 8

The Marti family reunion will be held Sunday, June 8 in the lower level meeting hall of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waukon beginning with a potluck lunch at 12 noon. Those planning to attend are asked to bring their own table service and a dish to share. Refreshments will be provided. Birth announcement: Clarke

Zach and Melissa Clarke of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Henry James Clarke, April 29, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs., 7 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins two sisters, Adelle (4) and Elsie (2).
Grandparents are Patty and Jim Clarke of Waukon and Terri and Dave Kleinow of Harpers Ferry. Great-grandparents are Henry and Betty Kleinow of Prairie du Chien, WI and Olga Balk of Eastman, WI.

Adam and Kristy Anderson of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Tucker Lee Anderson, April 11, 2014 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI. He weighed 7 lbs., 12.2 ozs. and measured 20 3/4 inches in length at the time of his birth.
Grandparents are Joel and Mary Anderson of Waukon and Brad and Bev Krambeer of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Gladwin and Darlene Anderson, Robert and Shirley Heimer and Arden and Joyce Hanson, all of Waukon.

David and Sandra Lyons of Lansing and Donald and Pamela Olson of Humbodlt announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children, Morgan Lyons and Kyle Olson, both of West Des Moines. The couple plans to exchange vows June 7 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Waukon.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Waukon Senior High and a 2009 graduate of Mount Mercy College with a bachelor of science degree in Nursing. She is currently attending graduate school at the University of Iowa, where she expects to graduate with a doctorate of Nursing Practice this May.

Mark and Nancy Reiser of Lansing and Mike and Teri Collins of Harpers Ferry announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their children, Samantha Reiser and Ryan Collins. The couple plans to exchange vows June 21 at the Mark and Nancy Reiser farm, rural Lansing.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Waukon Senior High and a 2013 graduate of the University of Iowa with a doctorate of Pharmacy degree. She is currently employed as a pharmacist at Hartig Drug in Waukon.

Dean and Karen Teslow celebrate 50th anniversary

Dean and Karen (Dehli) Teslow are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends. They were married May 9, 1964 at East Paint Creek Lutheran Church in rural Waterville.
They have four children: Matthew (Dawn) Teslow of Waukon, Lisa (Paul) Hudson of Decorah, Jonathan (Jill) Teslow of Ellisville, MO and Joel (Amy) Teslow of Decorah. They have 13 grandchildren.
