Mark and Lisa Belverud of Dorchester are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Danielle Marie, to Kevin Root, son of Larry and Marie Root of West Salem, WI. The wedding date is set for May 24 at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Eitzen, MN. A reception will be held following the ceremony at the Days Inn on French Island near La Crosse, WI.

Vivian Peterson of Postville will celebrate her 80th birthday with an open house Saturday, April 26 at Turner Hall in Postville from 2 to 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to join Vivian and her family for a bite to eat and conversation as she celebrates her special day. She requests no gifts.

Tara and Andy Stein of Lansing announce the birth of their daughter, Kaili Marie Stein, April 2, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 8 lbs., 2.8 ozs. and measured 21-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Ashlyn.
Grandparents are Dan and Joan Lyons of Waukon and Al and Jeanne Stein of Lansing. Great-grandparents are Theresa Lyons of Waukon and Janette and Jerry Blong of Waukon.

Amanda McKee and Darrin Davis of Hawkeye announce the birth of their daughter, Piper Rhodes Davis, March 28, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs., 14 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Brooklyn Davis (3-1/2).
Grandparents are Diane McKee of Waukon, Dean McKee of Lansing and Gordon and Elaine Davis of Fayette. Great-grandmother is Carol Schaefer of Lansing.

Tatum and TJ Iverson of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Evan Joseph Iverson, March 25, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 6 lbs., 2 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth.
Grandparents are Phil and Wendy Norton and Steve and Cindy Iverson, all of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Ray and Mary Ann Burke of Waukon.

Andy and Shannon Bentien of Prairie du Chien, WI announce the birth of their son, Maverick Ryan Bentien, March 26, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs., 15.2 ozs. and measured 21-3/4 inches in length at the time of his birth.
Grandparents are Patricia Boland of Prairie du Chien, WI and Kevin and Vicki Bentien of Postville. Great-grandparents are Harlin and Imogene Bentien of Monona and Harley and Irma Glawe of St. Olaf.

Travis and Breanne Bernau of Dorchester announce the birth of their son, Gavin James Bernau, March 26, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9 lbs., 9 ozs. and measured 21-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins two siblings, Brody (4) and Jaxon (2).
Grandparents are Brian and Michelle Herman of Waukon, Margaret Rohrer of La Crosse, WI and Mike Rohrer of Brownsville, MN. Great-grandparents are Nyles and Ruby Herman of Waukon, Ida and the late Howard Duffy of Waukon and Caroline Stilin of La Crosse, WI.

Jim and Sandra (Cahalan) Keenan will soon be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.  They were married April 11, 1964 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing.
Children of the couple are Laurie (Arvid) Hatlan of Waukon, Theresa Helgeson of Genoa, WI, Nancy (deceased) and Susan (deceased). They have 11 grandchildren.
