Colbey and Craig Decker of Oxford, OH announce the birth of their son, Noah Vincent Decker, January 2, 2015 in Oxford, OH. He weighed 6 lbs., 1 oz. and measured 18-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a brother, Milan (3).
Grandparents are Craig and Amy Wiemerslage of New Albin, Janelle Wiemerslage and Randy Peterson of DeSoto, WI and Gayle and Carol Decker of Waukon. Great-grandfather is Vincent Haas of Waukon.

Joel Scherf and Kelsey Schlueter of Waterville announce the birth of their daughter, Vanessa Viola Scherf, January 5, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs., 7.2 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins a sister, Kaylei (22 months), and three half-sisters, Ashlee (18), Lexi (14) and Jenna (10).
Grandparents are Lloyd and JoAnn Scherf of Harpers Ferry and Martha and Troy Thein of Elkader.

Michelle Scott and Mitchel Rogers of Cascade announce the birth of their twin children, Allie Marie Rogers and Jaxson Thomas Rogers, January 2, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Allie weighed 3.4 lbs. and measured 16 inches in length at the time of her birth; Jaxson weighed 3.14 lbs. and measured 17-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. They join two siblings, Cheyanne Caldwell (12) and Kayden Scott (6).
Grandparents are Tonya and Ricky Delatorre of Postville and John and Annette Rogers of Cascade.

Danielle Hackett of Harpers Ferry and Caleb Ferring of Waukon were joined in marriage June 21, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon with Father James Dubert and Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg presiding.
The bride is the daughter of Becky and the late Brent Hackett of Harpers Ferry. Her grandparents are Don and Trudy Hackett of Marquette and Frank and Sandy McMillin of McGregor. She is a 2010 graduate of Waukon Senior High School and expects to graduate from the University of Iowa in May of 2016 with a degree in Radiation Sciences. She is currently employed by the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as a part-time phlebotomist and as a youth counselor at James Van Allen Elementary.

Annie Olson and Ben Butler of Grinnell were joined in marriage November 8, 2014 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Ames by Father Jon Seda.
Parents of the bride are Mick and Mary Olson of Postville; the bride’s grandparents are Bob and the late Bernadine Heffern and Milton and Donna Mae Olson. Parents of the groom are Bryan and Linda Butler of Ankeny.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an Allure Bridals embellished cutout lace gown. The fit-and-flare silhouette was detailed with Swarovski crystal beading at the empire waist and at the hem. The gown featured elegant buttons down the back into a chapel-length train. She wore a waist-length veil that was previously worn by the sisters of the groom for their weddings.

Pat and Rachel Stone of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Miles Malachi Stone, December 25, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 9.06 lbs. and measured 23 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins two siblings, P.J. (16) and Mason (3).
Grandparents are Connie and Gary Mikesh of Decorah and Kris and Dan Piedot of Harpers Ferry. Great-grandparents are Mary Ann Duffy of Decorah, Janet and Darrel Koozer of Harpers Ferry and the late Mark Duffy of Waukon.

Zack and Chelsey Woodbeck of Waukon announce the birth of their daughter, Kinley Rosalie Woodbeck, December 29, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7.4 lbs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of her birth.
Grandparents are Richard and Kathy Speicher of New Hampton and Robert and Peggy Woodbeck of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Dana Waters of Waukon and Dean Bigalk of Cresco.

Marshall and Stephanie Iverson of Lansing announce the birth of their daughter, Hazel Marie Iverson, December 27, 2014 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 9 lbs., 2.4 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth.
Grandparents are Tom and Angela Weighner of Dorchester, Jim Iverson and Annie Riehm of Decorah and Connie and Charlie Regan of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Clair and Cathy Wagner of Lansing and Donald and Ruth Vine of Waukon.

Elaine Hanson and Eddie Knuppe of Waukon were married January 9, 1965 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waukon. They will be celebrating their 50th anniversary January 9 with their family.
They have four children, Deb (Terry) Johnson of Waukon, Sheila Snitker of Waukon, Vicky (Tim) Phipps of Dorchester and Carrie (Shane) Sievers of Mason City. They have six grandchildren, Mike McDowell, Matt Snitker, Vanessa Phipps and Cassie, Kennedy and Katie Sievers.
